Sapele Hardwood Doors – Rural Timber Windows
We recently worked with a client based in Stratford-upon-Avon, who wanted replacement windows and doors for their period cottage. We had to take into consideration the age of the cottage as well as the unique features, to ensure the doors and windows complemented the overall property.
This particular project required casement windows, for the main building and stable doors to add the final touch. The style and wood which is selected, can make a real difference to how sympathetic the windows and doors are to the building. Together with the client, we agreed that the Sapele Hardwood doors would be the most appropriate timber to use. Due to the nature of this type of wood and finish, the colour of the door will gradually become darker, and will blend in with the red bricks of the cottage.
We used Georgian Bars to add a final touch of detail to the doors, and wrought iron door furniture to maintain the overall look of the cottage. To comply with insurance company requirements, we used modern multipoint locks to ensure high security. This is something the client really admired, and they were pleased with the doors, and how well they complemented the rest of the property.
After completing the project, our client also mentioned how thrilled they were with the overall look that was achieved, and were happy with how we were able to fit our work in with the builder’s timeframe. They were particularly impressed with our initial discussions, and how we were able to deliver their vision of what they wanted. Working directly with the client, meant that we were able to establish a good working relationship, which we believe is key to the service we provide.
